Visit a spice farm deep in Zanzibar’s countryside and learn the island’s remarkable role in the historic spice trade. Taste fresh spices and seasonal fruits, see how cassavas are cultivated and processed, and join in a short cooking lesson in the farm’s outdoor kitchen. Enjoy a traditional meal of richly spiced rice with vegetables and fruit then return to Stone Town in an air-conditioned minivan.
Day 1: Zanzibar Historical Day Trip
At 09:00, after breakfast, we begin the guided stone town tour. The stone town was declared as world heritage site by UNESCO. With our guide you will walk on the footsteps of Arab Sultans of Zanzibar. Discovery of the wonderful labyrinths of Zanzibar, visit of the historical sites, presentation of the Zanzibar doors, their roles and significance. Day 2: Safari Blue Tour
At 07:30 picked up from hotel to Fumba Village where you will meet your boat for a special guided safari blue tour: It entails visiting three different sand banks. On one, you will have a seafood lunch, snorkeling and perhaps see dolphin. It is full day back at Fumba Village at 17:30 and arrive at hotel around 18:30.
Day 3: Spice Farm and Stone Town
At 09:30, after breakfast, you will begin your tour. We will first visit a spice farm where you can see different types of spices and how they grow, taste the seasonal fruits then lunch with many of these ingredients. Then we will tour Stone Town, where you can see historical sites, such as the slave market, daily market, narrow streets and shopping.
Day 4: Zanzibar Beach & Leisure Day Trip
At 10:00, after breakfast, depart from Tembo House Hotel to Mapenzi Beach Resort (Or similar hotel). Mapenzi Beach is a hotel located in northeast of Zanzibar Island. En-route spice tour, discover the tropical spices, fruits, and a coconut tree climber.
Day 5: Relaxation
Full day relaxing at the beach hotel.
